It is by Allah’s mercy that you [O Prophet] became lenient to them. If you had been harsh and hard-hearted, they would have dispersed from you.

O you who believe, Whoever among you renounces his faith, Allah will bring a people whom He loves and who love Him. This is Allah’s favor which He gives to whom He wills. And Allah is All-Bountiful, All-Knowing.

Never pray therein [O Prophet]. A mosque that was founded on piety from the first day is more deserving for you to pray therein. In it are men who love to keep themselves pure, and Allah loves those who keep themselves pure.

If two groups of the believers fight one another, make peace between them. If one of them transgresses against the other, fight against the transgressing group until they submit to the rule of Allah. Then if they submit, make peace between them with fairness, and be just, for Allah loves those who are just.

Allah does not forbid you from being kind and just to those who did not fight against you nor did they drive you out of your homes. Indeed, Allah loves those who are just.

Indeed, Allah loves those who fight in His way in firm ranks, as if they were a solid structure.
